At Trench Games, we value and respect trademark rights, and we expect our community to do the same when using our platform.
To clarify: a trademark is any word, phrase, logo, or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of goods or services. Trademark owners have the right to prevent others from using their marks or anything confusingly similar.
Our trademark guidelines are here to help avoid confusion about who is behind, affiliated with, or endorsing a creator’s token, comments, or other content. These rules apply only to the Trench Games website and not to blockchain data or any other site we don’t control. Here’s what you need to know:
Guidelines
- Don’t use trademarks that aren’t yours unless you have clear permission.
- Don’t use someone else’s trademark in a way that could reasonably cause confusion about ownership or origin.
- Always get explicit approval before using another party’s trademark or before posting anything that could imply a trademark owner is your sponsor, partner, or supporter.
Permitted uses include:
- Referring to someone else’s trademark in a casual or non-commercial way (e.g., “I’m a fan of [trademark]”).
- Creating parody, commentary, or fan content, as long as you (1) make it clear that your work is a parody, commentary, or fan creation and not officially connected to the trademark, and (2) add a note in your title or description to distinguish it (e.g., “fan project,” “parody,” or “commentary”).
We encourage creativity and fun, but don’t impersonate others or mislead people about your identity or affiliations.
Trench Games does not resolve trademark disputes. Any issues are strictly between the trademark owner and the creator involved.
Reporting Trademark Issues
If you believe your trademark is being misused on Trench Games, please email contact@trenchgames.win with the following details:
- Your contact info: name, address, phone number, and email. Please confirm you are the trademark owner or authorized to act for them.
- Details about the trademark: a description, registration/application number, where it’s registered, and how you use it. Also, list any goods or services linked to the trademark.
- Info about the creator: enough details for us to find the relevant content (e.g., token name, username, or page URL).
When possible, we’ll notify the creator about the reported trademark issue.
How We Handle Trademark Reports
When we get a trademark complaint, we will:
- Review the report to make sure it’s complete and legitimate.
- Check the report against these guidelines, our moderation policy, and any other relevant rules.
- If we decide, at our discretion, that content on our site violates someone’s trademark, we’ll remove it from our website.
- If we take action, we may let the creator know about the report if possible.
- Creators can respond by emailing contact@trenchgames.win, but we don’t mediate trademark disputes.
- Trademark owners and creators are responsible for resolving any further issues directly.
If you’re a creator and believe your content was wrongly flagged, email us with:
- Your contact info: name, address, phone number, and email.
- Proof you have permission to use the trademark, or clear evidence that your use was parody, commentary, or fan-related.
Repeat Violations
Trench Games may remove a creator’s access if we determine they are repeatedly and intentionally violating trademark rights.
Policy Changes
We may update or change these guidelines at any time. By continuing to use our services, you accept any changes we make.
